Have you ever been asked that question before by someone, "what is Network Marketing" and before you can answer someone else shouts, "oh that is one of those pyramid scheme's." When I hear that I always immediately turn to that person and tell them that by them giving that answer they do not have a clue at what they are talking about and what Network Marketing truly is.
These people have clearly never taken the time to learn the difference between a pyramid scheme and a legitimate Network Marketing company. Many people will tell you its about building downlines, getting paid commissions, selling products and so forth and yes they are right in a way.
Basically you are joining a company to take that company's services and products to market and in doing so you will be earning commissions while at the same time building your own team and earning commissions off their efforts as well.
Its called leveraging your time and that is the powerful.
For example lets say you put 10 hours a week working your Network Marketing business but you have 100 people in your organization each putting the same 10 hours in working their business. So actually you have 1000 hours of work being put in each week between yourself and your organization and that is where the power of leverage really comes into play in Network Marketing.
But let me get back to what Network Marketing truly is.
Network Marketing is the arts and science of empowering, communicating, and building a relationship with another human being based on their needs and wants and not mine or yours needs or wants.
Read that above statement one more time to let it soak in.
Is that the first time you heard Network Marketing phrased in that way? If it is I bet you are now like I was then and fill like your eyes have just been opened for the first time about what Network Marketing is truly all about.
Think about this. No company is going to bring you success. No compensation plan is going to bring you success. No products are going to bring you success. Only people can bring you success in this industry. Its people that are going to be putting in the time and effort to grow their business which in turn grows yours as well. Its not the company, the compensation plan, or the products.
By building a relationship with your people that joins your Network Marketing company and putting their needs first ahead of yours and helping them to become successful you will become successful and your needs and wants will eventually be fulfilled because by helping others reach their goals by default you will reach yours as well.
Its like the saying goes that I have heard the great Joe Schroeder say many times, "what you give away you get to keep." What that means is, you give away your time and effort helping others reach their goals, you get to keep the rewards which are having your goals reached and your income levels soar and your business grow.
That is what Network Marketing is all about.
