Building your contact list is the most important part of building your network marketing business. In order to build your contact list though, you must use effective, targeting advertising. People don't just magically visit your website. You have to actively solicit people to visit your website through your advertising. Once they arrive at your website, your website content needs to be consistent with your advertising.
One common misconception is that quantity of leads is all that matters. This is absolutely false. You are looking for a large quantity of qualified leads or prospects. Visitors to your site are useless to you unless they are interested in you or your business. In order to ensure that you are getting qualified leads, you need to make sure that you are presenting your advertising such that you will attract the right kind of people to you website. One of the biggest mistakes made by people advertising their MLM business is that they use outrageous promises of getting rich overnight or building a huge downline without doing any work. They may end up with a lot of visitors and leads because people are obviously interested in those offers, but there is no possible way for them to fulfill these promises and even if they are able to recruit some of them into their business, they won't stay for long once they realize that they aren't getting rich.
My suggestion is to tailor your advertising to a combination of your personal style and what people are looking for. I offer network marketing training in many of my ads. Many of the people looking to make money with network marketing are really looking for someone to help them and providing them with a quality network marketing training program is a great way to help them. I have also found that people who are interested in network marketing training courses and willing to take the time to work through a network marketing training program are going to be better prospects and teammates, at least for me. My goal isn't to recruit as many people as possible. My goal is to recruit people who are willing to learn, take action and work to be successful. You are welcome to offer get rich quick schemes to attract your prospects. I don't want people who will respond to that sort of advertising. They will never be successful with network marketing and in turn will not contribute to your success.
It's important that you don't just offer any old network marketing training program to your prospects. To be effective a network marketing training program has to provide clear, step-by-step instructions that will allow anyone willing to follow it to be successful. You don't necessarily need to develop your own network marketing training courses. You can simply find a good network marketing training program and offer to create a partnership with the training developer. There are many different ways you can work together to your mutual benefit. The best scenario would be for you to be in the same business together and then share your lead generation and network marketing training with your whole group. Even if this isn't possible, there are many other scenarios that can work.
Make sure you properly target your advertising. Make sure that you are attracting quality leads to your website. Make sure that you are enrolling useful teammates into your business. These things will virtually guarantee a solid long term income from your business.
